Boxspan® Roof Frames
Roof frames and rafters
Boxspan roof frames and rafters are suitable for use in steel or timber framed homes. They are constructed in much the same fashion as floors with the only difference being the pitch.
Boxspan is extremely efficient in roof framing. Long spans make architectural concepts such as cathedral ceilings, exposed trusses and roomy lofts more feasible than ever. Boxspan can also be used in commercial roof applications such as schools. For commercial roof frames please contact us.
Some benefits to consider:

- Passing up Boxspan rafters to the roof is easier as they are lighter than timber rafters.
- Long spans without blocking leave a tidy finish for exposed rafters.
- Long-spanning Boxspan reduces the need for structural beams giving you a straight ceiling with fewer bulkheads.
- Boxspan roof frames are supplied as a complete, fully designed system to strict deflection criteria.
- Boxspan can reach similar span for less depth than timber.

| Boxspan rafters and purlins can also be used for home improvement projects such as awnings, carports and pergolas. If a coloured beam is required, see the Colorbeam range.
